A type IX-D2 uboat in the carribean. It's a marvelous night for a surface attack, as long as the captian can find som US shipping here. He is a little afraid of the moonlight doing a reflection in the hull, and thus perhaps alerting nearby destoryers. Nevertheless, the yanks are at as much at risk from this event as the uboat itself, so the odds are atleast even. Now it's just a matter of waiting, and prayers for more clouds.....
I wanted to focus a little more on the background and the environment rather than the characters in this drawing. Shrinking it from the original 2000x1500 really crapped it up, so excuse some faulties. As always, critique feels goodie!
Full view, you can't see anything otherwise.
Time to complete: 3 hours
Sketching, drawing and refinement made in PSP
Tools: Mouse!
Edit: I fixed the moon with some brightness and made it white (was more yellowish). I also fixed the resize a little, making it look less sloppy.
woops >.<
PS is just like PaintShop. it have some good points that paint hasnt, and some bad that paint has
but i just use PS, and my art isnt sufering of it anyway

Maybe my monitor is really dark, but I can't see much and that makes me sad...Unless I'm not supposed to see much, which is different. Anyway, I like the moon effect, it's very nice.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
